Garrett Krohn, Horn & Bass

Garrett Krohn is a versatile freelance hornist, jazz bassist and educator based in Bowling Green, Ohio. He is the acting principal horn of the Adrian Symphony, has played with the Michigan Opera Theatre, Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, Rochester Symphony Orchestra (MI), and Dearborn Symphony Orchestra. As a bassist he has performed with the Mid Atlantic Collegiate Jazz Orchestra, The Reese Project, The Michael Shirtz Quartet, George Waltemire, and Mary McClendon. Garrett is a passionate music educator, teaching in a wide variety of settings. He teaches horn at Defiance College, and horn and bass at Black Swamp Fine Arts School.He holds degrees Music Education (B.S.), Horn Performance (M.M), and is currently pursuing a Doctorate specializing in contemporary performance (D.M.A.)
